This finely crafted sculpture represents Hindu god couple (Dvitva in Sanskrit), Shiva - the destroyer, recycler and regenerator of universe and all life, and his consort Parvati, considered the mother of the whole universe in Hinduism. Fittingly depicting Shiva’s auspiciousness and his might as the god of gods, while balancing his personality with his iconographical attributes -- his third eye on the forehead, the snake Vasuki around his neck, the adorning crescent moon, the holy river Ganga flowing from his matted hair, the trishula as his weapon and damaru, the two-headed drum, the amelioration incorporated in the sculpture is par excellence. The serenity is underlined by the depiction of Parvathi through her gentle and nurturing personality.

Anantasayana: The Supreme Lord in Yoga Nidra

Goddess Saraswati or Vanishri is the Hindu goddess of knowledge, music, arts, wisdom and learning. She is also the consort of Lord Brahma, the creator of the universe. The four hands of goddess Saraswati represent four aspects of human personality of learning: mind, intellect, alertness and ego. She has sacred scriptures in one hand and a lotus – the symbol of true knowledge – in the second. With her other two hands, she plays the music of love and life on a string instrument called the veena. Kali: The Goddess of Creation, Preservation and Destruction

Kali is the feminine form of Kalam ("black, dark coloured"). Kala primarily means "time", but also means "black"; hence, Kali means "the black one" or "beyond time". Kali is the Hindu goddess associated with empowerment or shakti. She is therefore called the Goddess of Time, Change, Power, Creation, Preservation, and Destruction.Her earliest appearance is that of a destroyer of evil forces.
