This intricately carved chalkstone sculpture showcases the key elements of the goddess' divine personality; a book representing wisdom and learning, a rosary symbolizing peace and meditation, a water pot to purify the right from the wrong and a veena to represent all the creative arts. The adroit craftsmanship on this beautiful sculpture captures the peace and inner glow of the goddess in a state of pure enlightenment and also conveys her serenity through her relaxed posture.

Ugra: The God's Wrath

This chalkstone sculpture depicts the dance of Nataraja, in his divine splendor, perched atop the demon Andhaka after a fierce battle (Ugra in Sanskrit). The wild, flowing locks and the frenetic activity depicted within this intricate work of art showcase the culmination of cosmic energy and the joy of victory at the end of a hard fought battle, one which is a signature event which has been immortalized by artisans over centuries.

The stories of Krishna's mischevous antics and pranks form the base for most of the epics paying tribute to him. This exquisite sculpture depicts Lord Krishna as the delightful charming child, charming everyone around him and mesmerizing them with the beautiful music he composed on his flute. The master sculptor's skill and attention to detail is evident in the carving around the face and the peaceful expression of Krishna as he is lost in the music that he has created.
