This sandstone sculpture depicts the Lord showing Dharmachakra Mudra. It is performed by joining the thumb and index finger of both the hands at their tips while the other three fingers remain extended. The circle formed is symbolic to the wheel of dharma (dharmachakra) and the three fingers represent the three jewels of Buddhism- the Buddha, the Dharma, and the Sangha.
